The M35 cargo truck was designed in 1949 to replace the ageing [[CKW-353|CCKW-353]] which had served as the backbone of the American land based logistical supply system during World War II. Production started in 1950 & continued until 1999, during its long production the design was updated several times with the M35A1, M35A2 & M35A3. Many different variants of the basic truck design were also built including fuel & water tankers, wrecker, dump truck, vehical maintenance & mobile medical stations. The total produced is hard to calculated due to the many different factories used over such a long period but it's estimated that 150,000 to 200,000 of the M35 were built in total. The M35 has been used in every major military conflict that America participated in since the 1950's, with some still being use in Iraq & Afghanistan today.
