Boulton Paul P.100

In 1942 the British Air Ministry sent out a request for a plane specifically designed for ground-attack missions, Boulton Paul answered with their P.100 design. Using a pusher engine & a canard wing layout it give the pilot an excellent view of the battlefield & with the engine located at the rear of the plane the space could be used to placed a combination of 40mm & 20mm cannons giving it great hitting power. By the time the design was finished in 1944 the Hurricane and Typhoon had shown that they where capable of performing the required around attack role and the P.100 was cancelled.
